Hello all! Here is a bit of a glimpse into the freelance side of things. I had some good fun working on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla under the great Raphael Lacoste’s art direction and got to lend my best efforts to some of the concepts.
This post is going to be quite long, so get a horn of mead and some meat, hot from the hearth and prepare to scroll, there is a lot to see. I got to work on the lock of Anglo-Saxons and Vikings alike, as well as the characters caught in the middle of their epic conflict. Delving into the early middle ages, the ruins of antiquity, is an amazing journey full of wonderful and heartbreaking history and I love seeing how games are a path for so many to explore the past.
The worldbuilding of this sort is fun and full of challenges and if you want more, you can consider checking out my Patreon, where we do a lot of that but where you also will be able to take a look at the process of creating these pieces and some variations made for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. I hope you’ll enjoy the concepts, and maybe you’ll even come across one or two of mine in the game itself as well!
Now draw the sword, look to the gods, and roar with me: TIL VALHALL!
